The owners are a designer husband and wife team, who live in the main house on the other side of the yard. They designed and built the guesthouse as a designers’ oasis. The vaulted ceilings and skylights instantly lift your mood as you enter through the lush Mediterranean landscaped back yard. A glass wall in the living space provides gorgeous natural light and views to the back yard and patio. The doors have been strategically located to preserve your privacy, and make the most of that amazing indoor/outdoor living feel.<br /><br />The house has all the amenities you could want or need for your stay; a living area with large TV, a spacious work nook with monitor, dining table with a built-in banquette and chairs, a full kitchen with dishwasher, full-sized fridge, gas stove, toaster, and microwave. For extra utility there is an in-unit washer and dryer, and 2 split-unit A/C’s provide ample heating and cooling for your comfort. We think you’ll love the bathroom rain shower, and there’s a Japanese-style bidet on the toilet. The tranquil bedroom space houses everything necessary for restful sleep. When you open the bedroom shades, you'll be waking to peaceful garden views, and most likely, that beautiful and energizing Californian light once again.<br /><br />The location is an < 10-minute walk from downtown Sunnyvale and all of its shopping (Whole Foods, Target), dining (Dozens of options), and entertainment (AMC, bars) options. The location is conveniently on the Mathilda corridor for easy access to tech offices like Apple, Alphabet, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Amazon, Uber, etc.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Guest have access to the entire guesthouse, and the patio which includes dining area and a fire pit. There are fruit trees and vegetable beds in the back yard. Please check with your hosts as to which fruits are ripe to pick. The back yard is shared with the main house, where the owner/co-hosts live.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Thank you for understanding Casa Limu guesthouse is unsuitable for infants and children under 12<br /><br />Two cats live in the main house and they are let out for short walks in the shared back yard.
