Enjoy nature sounds, private backyard, and easy reverse-traffic access to Silicon Valley’s tech hubs and Stanford Hospital.<br /><br />Ideal for family visits, medical stays, business travel, or a relaxing getaway, the space features a private entrance, dedicated outdoor area, and thoughtfully chosen amenities—offering comfort, privacy, and convenience all in one place.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Our 1-bedroom, 1-bath guest house is part of a dual-unit ADU structure, where each unit has its own private exterior entrance. The space is fully separated from the secondary unit — similar to a condominium layout or hotel rooms with a shared wall and an always-locked interior connecting door. The exterior entrance to the other unit is on a different side of the property and has no access to this unit’s backyard or exterior entrance walkway.<br /><br />Like any standard dual-structure property, you may occasionally hear normal household sounds from our elderly family members using the secondary unit as an extra bedroom, primarily for sleeping. On rare occasions, our kids or pets may follow them and create noise. If that ever happens, we appreciate guests letting us know, as we may not hear it from the main house. We’re always happy to address anything quickly to ensure your stay remains peaceful and comfortable.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Our guest house is located at the end of our driveway and has its own separate entrance walkway and a private backyard. For everyone’s convenience, we kindly ask that guests do not park in the driveway to avoid blocking access. Ample free and safe street parking is available next to our property.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />We’re animal lovers! 🐾 Our family currently shares our home with a Maltese dog, a Scottish cat, and three parrots. We’re happy to welcome house-trained pets during your stay. For everyone’s comfort, we kindly ask that pets are not left alone in the unit. To help us keep our lawn looking its best, please avoid having pets relieve themselves on the grass. There’s a convenient bare area near the mailboxes or a nearby dog park just a 5-minute walk away. Complimentary pee pads and pet waste bags are available for your convenience.
