Downtown Berkeley and San Francisco are accessible by BART/subway (~15mns walk from the house) and by car.<br />Ideal for traveling professional looking for a mid term stay in the East Bay or an affordable base to explore the Bay Area.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />The Studio is on the second floor of our house (secured with front gate with passcode), accessible via a dedicated outdoor staircase and its own private entrance with keypad lock.<br /><br />Make yourself at home - everything in the Studio is for your enjoyment. It was fully renovated in 2024. The kitchen is stocked with all of the cooking essentials, Miele oven and induction cooktop, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator and Miele laundry stack.<br /><br />It's an open floor plan with a lot of natural light and circular view of Oakland rooftops. There is a queen size bed and a bathroom with new finishings. <br /><br />The Studio has its own WiFi and Internet TV to stream your favorite shows. <br /><br />Enjoy your morning coffee, meals or a glass(es) of wine on the front patio. Comes with breathtaking sunsets.<br /><br />Driveway includes a parking spot.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Enjoy the Studio front porch table and chairs, however, the use of the main house's backyard couches and table is by permission only.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />1) The studio is heated by a space heater. We can provide a 2nd space heater if needed.<br />2) There is no AC but we provide a fan. And with windows south and north, cross ventilation is very efficient. <br />3) The BART/subway track is close to the house and the train can be faintly heard in the background when it passes by.<br />4) The studio is on the 2nd floor of our house and you have to go up a flight of exterior stairs to access it.<br />5) A door leads from the Studio to our house attic. This door is the only access to the attic and is always locked.<br />6) We have another short-term rental unit in the back of our property.
