Peaceful, historic Benicia is centrally located on the SF Bay - just 20 minutes from Napa/wine country and a hour ferry ride from San Francisco. The boutique shops, bars and restaurants are a stroll from your front door.<br /><br />Make lemonade from fresh lemons in your cozy two-bedroom escape after your morning hike or kayak trip. Play cornhole, while enjoying an outdoor BBQ as the sun sets over the majestic hills along the Carquinez Straight. Find peaceful serenity in centrally located Benicia.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Your private entrance opens to a mudroom for your coat and shoes. The living room is cozy with a comfortable queen-size hide-a-bed/sofa, over-sized chair, four-person game/dining table and a wall-mounted HDTV ready for streaming your favorite shows. Board games are located under the dining table. <br /><br />The two bedrooms have comfortable queen-size beds, night stands with USB outlets and dressers for storage. Fans, space heaters and an iron/ironing board are available in the closets. Books, a chess board and playing cards are available from your bookcase. The 3rd bed is the pull-out couch in the living room. Blankets/pillows are in the red trunk under the TV.<br /><br />The bathroom features a walk-in shower, plenty of towels, toilet paper, a hair dryer, cleaning supplies and toiletries.<br /><br />The kitchen has a cozy eating nook with a butcher block table. The granite and butcher block counters provide sufficient space for cooking/baking. Cabinets/drawers include the tools to prepare your home-cooked meals for those nights you just want to stay in. Of course, all you need to set your table is also provided, including children’s tableware. Other appliances/accessories include: range/ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, disposal, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and refrigerator/freezer with ice maker.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The shared laundry room is accessible by YOU via two entrances: backyard doorway and your kitchen door. Other guests can only enter via the backyard entrance. The laundry room includes a commercial-size washer and dryer, detergent/softner and a utility sink.<br /><br />Just as the laundry room is shared, so are the back/side yards. Improvements are in the works, as you’ll notice. We plan to ensure each unit also has its own semi-private patio, while the hot tub, games and various seating areas are available to all on property. Beach towels, games and beach shovels/pails/umbrellas are available for guest use via the laundry room shelves. <br /><br />There are multiple areas outside your cottage to relax, grill, soak in the 12-person hot tub, dine/enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee or challenge your travel companions to a game of corn hole, croquet, cups, jenga or frisbee. Shake off the day with a nightcap in the rocking chairs under the fruit trees. Fairy lights/lanterns softly illuminate the trees and landscape, while pathway lights help to safely guide your way.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Parking is available on 3rd and J streets. J street parking in front of your sand pathway is closest to your front door.<br /><br />Town is a five-minute walk and the water is two-three blocks from your home-away-home.
