You will have access to the Auberge Fitness Center, located across the street. Play tennis & pickleball, work out, or swim in the 25M lap pool. This privilege would cost you $700/wk but is FREE with our condo. You also have access to the Residents Beach Club and Napua restaurant, and can park in a private lot at the beach.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Primary Bedroom has a Cal. King bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress, and an "en suite" bathroom with tub and shower. Guest Bedroom has two XL Twin Beds with Nectar memory foam mattresses. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and the fridge has filtered water and makes plenty of ice. The Living Room has a comfortable sofa and armchair to relax and plan your Big Island adventures. Beautiful, lush gardens are off the front and back lanais. Fast WiFi and a 64” LG OLED TV with Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV, Hulu, and Amazon Prime and Spectrum Silver cable channels. Connect your iPhone or Android via Bluetooth to an Amazon Echo to stream your music, or use our free Apple Music account. Sleep in crisp, all cotton, professionally pressed sheets, and dry off with 100% cotton terrycloth towels. Beach chairs, Boogie boards, bamboo mats and snorkel gear available in the garage. There’s a great Delta Heat BBQ outside on our back lanai for grilling your Big Island beef or local fresh fish.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />AUBERGE FITNESS CENTER & TENNIS COURTS<br />A unique privilege just for you. As our guest you will have full access to Auberge Hotel's Fitness Center and Tennis Courts, conveniently located directly across the street from the Palm Villas. <br /><br />Play tennis and pickleball, swim laps in the beautiful 25 meter 3-lane pool, or work out in the fully equipped gym with machines and free weights. You can use the Club’s new top-of-the-line “Head” tennis rackets and “Selkirk” pickleball paddles. <br /> <br />Currently, we are the only rental condo at Palm Villas that is offering this privilege. Other units may advertise that you have "access" but you would have to pay the rate of $700/week for a family of 4. However, if you rent our condo, guest access is included for free. Private tennis lessons, clinics, round-robins, exercise classes and spa treatments are extra. <br /><br />Please also note that his privilege is only for the renters of our unit and is non-transferable to others. Admission to the Fitness Center is for a maximum of 4 guests only.<br /><br />MAUNA LANI RESIDENTS BEACH CLUB<br />Guests will also have a Beach Access Card which allows them to park one vehicle in the private lot at the Mauna Lani Residents Beach Club, making going to the beach most convenient. As our guest you are welcome to use the chaise lounges and cabanas on the beach, and to have lunch and dinner at Napua restaurant overlooking Maka`iwa Bay. Reservations highly suggested for dinner.<br /><br />Maka`iwa beach has easy entry with great snorkeling. From our condo you can also walk to the Beach Club via a paved trail that goes through a nature preserve with lava tubes and petroglyphs, then meanders through shady, ancient fishponds until you end up at Maka`iwa Bay. It takes about 20 minutes and is a very easy hike - it is also a great for an early morning jog or a lovely sunset stroll.<br /><br />THE SHOPS AT MAUNA LANI<br />Foodland Farms, Tommy Bahamas and other stores are also about a 20 minute walk up the hill to the Shops at Mauna Lani. Foodland Farms has an excellent wine and liquor selection, prosciutto di Parma, Speck, Jamon iberico, and other imported delicacies, plus an extensive selection of gourmet cheeses and pâtés. They also also offer a good selection of prepared foods, sandwiches and sushi, and the fish and meat counter makes excellent fresh poke every day. <br /><br />Snorkel Bob's is also a great place to rent snorkeling gear for your stay. We do have some snorkel gear in the garage - but we strongly recommend that you let Snorkel Bob's properly fit your mask and fins. There is nothing worse than a leaky mask, and fins that are too tight or too loose. They will set you up with high quality gear that fits well so you have a great experience in the ocean.<br /><br />Everything you need for a relaxing vacation is at your fingertips when you stay at Hale Malino.<br /><br />PLEASE NOTE: The pool & spa inside the Palm Villas will be CLOSED from September 27 - 30, 2026 for maintenance.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />PARKING: Parking is extremely limited at the Palm Villas. Our private garage should be your primary parking spot, but it is small. Please consider this when renting your vehicle. You also may park a second - or over-sized vehicle - in our private outdoor trellised parking spot, but it is near the "C" building and about a 2 minute walk to our condo. There is a two car maximum. As a last resort, you may park in any of the vacant "lava" spots along the road inside Palm Villas, but you must display a parking pass, which is found in the condo. Parking regulations are strictly enforced at the Palm Villas. <br /><br />HOUSE RULES: Please follow all the House Rules at the Palm Villas. A copy can be found in the back of the Renter's Guide in the condo. The basics are: Quite Hours 9PM-8AM; No drying towels or swimsuits on the back lanai; No storing bikes or swim gear on the front lanai; Parking placard required if not using the garage or trellis; No smoking in the condo or the entire complex; No ball playing in the common areas; No excessive noise or alcohol allowed at the pool. We have a mix of full-time residents and vacation guests at the Palm Villas, so please be respectful of your neighbors.<br /><br />MINIMUM SUGGESTED STAY = 5 Nights<br /><br />TAXES: The State and County of HI require a total of 18.71% General Excise Tax and Transient Accommodation Tax to be added to the the Nightly Base Rate and the Cleaning Fee. We cannot waive this tax under any circumstance as we "pass through" these taxes directly to the State and County.<br /><br />CLEANING FEE: We offer top-notch cleaning service and this is strictly a "pass through" expense to our great cleaners. We actually pay more that what are charging you. Our sheets are all professionally laundered and pressed at Hapuna Laundry. We also provide: shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap, unscented and dye-free laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and basic kitchen supplies. This is why are rates and cleaning fee are slightly higher, but you don't have to buy your 3rd roll of toilet paper at the store!
