Take a moment to unwind and appreciate the stunning views from the patio, where you can spot whales from Nov-April and catch a glimpse of surfers riding the "Freight Train" during mid-summer. <br /><br />Venture out for a leisurely walk to Maalaea Harbor Shops and the Maui Ocean Center, or explore with a drive to Lahaina (West), Hana (East), or Wailea (South tip). <br /><br />Enjoy delightful amenities including Heated Pool, Oceanfront BBQ station, and Lounge area on the lawn. Designated parking right out front.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Our single-bedroom unit sleeps 4, with a king bed in the master and a queen sleeper sofa. Wake up to the sunrise and ocean views from both beds and grab a cup of Maui Coffee, on us. Beach towels & beach chairs are provided.<br /><br /><br />From our Backyard:<br />• Freight Train: We are very proud to have the best seats in Maalaea to watch professional surfers ride the fastest wave in the world - it happens in mid-summer so keep a lookout!<br /><br />• Beach Access: There is a small access point to dip your toes in the sand just out front and to the right of our complex, but if you want to jump in and have a day in the water you'll want to walk down 5-7 mins left of the complex to Haycraft Park.<br /><br />• Whale Watching: You might be surprised how great of a view we have to watch the whales and how many there are in the months Nov-April. We have binoculars provided.<br /><br />• Sea Turtles: You'll be able to see the Sea Turtles in the shallow water by walking directly out front of our unit. <br /><br />• Snorkeling and the Coral Reef: You can enjoy snorkeling and viewing the coral reef right in front of our unit as well, or even some spear fishing if that's your thing. <br /><br />• The View: See Kaho‘olawe Island by looking directly out of our patio on a clear day and watch one of the most amazing sunsets happening right over Maui's south tip, Wailea. <br /><br /><br />Harbor Area Activities (5-7 min walk):<br />• Whale Watching: Although you can see the whales very well from our patio you can walk to the harbor and take a closer look and book a guided tour. <br /><br />• Ocean Fishing: Catch a mahi mahi or an ono at one of the many deep-sea fishing charters located at the harbor.<br /><br />• Maui Ocean Center Aquarium: Named “Top 10 Aquariums in the World” Maui Ocean Center is the premier destination to encounter and learn about Hawaii’s marine life. <br /><br />• Harbor Shops: From souvenirs and gift shops to art and beach wear, you can take a lovely stroll and enjoy the boutique shopping experience right at the harbor. <br /><br />• Restaurants: Pizza, Italian, fresh fish, ice cream, and much more. There's a handful of delicious restaurants located conveniently at the Harbor Shops.<br /><br />• General Store: The Maalaea general store at the harbor has the basic essentials you need but is also our personal favorite place to get a latte, Hawaiian breakfast, or even a Mai Tai. <br /><br />There is also a fun mini-golf park about 7 min walking North of the Harbor that has two 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, a climbing wall & more.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The unit is located on the first floor with close and easy designated parking access.<br />Our unit is located right next to the accessway to the heated pool, BBQs, lounging area, and ocean.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Maalaea is a wonderful area because it's quiet, relaxing, and has fewer tourists than other popular locations in Maui.
