Adventures like surfing, snorkeling & hiking are always within reach. Or just relax on the north shore beaches. Restaurants are nearby in Hanalei and Princeville. Consider this your home base surrounded by nature. Come experience the island vibe and leave relaxed and renewed.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Large private studio with lots of windows, full kitchen, bathroom and new washer and dryer. King-size bed, and new Sofa bed (great for 1 teen/adult or 2 kids).<br />The unit has a large sliding glass door looking out to lush foliage. Dining table with 4 chairs, Shower over Tub, Gated pool, TV and High speed internet. Guests enjoy the fresh Island breeze flowing through, instead of A/C. There is no air conditioner in the unit.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />This studio is within a small condominium complex. There is a parking space available outside the front door. There is a fenced in swimming pool with barbecue. A key and parking pass are provided. Please be sure to place the parking pass on your car dash.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />The lovely Paniolo condo complex is conveniently located just off the main road in Princeville. Foodland grocery store, along with a handful of restaurants, shops, and a yoga studio, are all within walking distance at the Princeville Center. For more variety, Hanalei is just a short drive away and offers additional restaurants, surf shops, ice cream, snorkel and kayak rentals, and beach gear.<br /><br />Some restaurants may require reservations in advance, especially during busy seasons. Also, don’t be surprised if prices are higher than on the mainland. This is common across the Hawaiian islands due to shipping costs and limited local resources.<br /><br />Paniolo is a small, peaceful complex with a mix of vacation rentals and full-time residents. While it’s generally quiet, please note that the unit has traditional jalousie-style windows which allow in, the island breeze but may also carry the sound of neighboring guests or residents.<br /><br />Roosters are part of life on Kauai. They roam freely across the island and are known to make their presence heard, especially in the early mornings. In addition, the grounds are beautifully maintained by landscapers who occasionally use blowers and other equipment to keep everything clean and lush.<br /><br />The shower/tub combo is a bit older and scheduled for an upgrade in the near future.
