Breath-taking, unobstructed ocean views of Molokai & Lanai. One-minute walk to the water. Relax by the oceanfront pool, Nearby are steps leading to the beach. Swim, snorkel, & see colorful fish, turtles & whales! Located in Honokawai, close to Lahaina, Ka'anapali, Kahana, Napili, & Kapalua.<br /><br />Walk to shops, bakery, grocery stores & restaurants.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath, beachfront Maui vacation home is just steps from the water—no need to head to the beach because you’re already at the beach! <br /><br />SECOND FLOOR UNIT<br />Maui vacation home is perfect for 2–3 guests.<br /><br />The MASTER BEDROOM is downstairs with a king bed.<br /><br />The UPSTAIRS LOFT BEDROOM has two full beds. Due to the stairs leading up to the second bedroom, its loft-style layout and stairs, IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR INFANTS, YOUNG CHILDREN, OR THE ELDERLY. <br /><br />Located on the second floor, the unit offers great views but is not handicap accessible and there is no elevator. As mentioned above, not suitable for infants, children, or the elderly.<br /><br />Both bathrooms (one downstairs and one upstairs), have walk-in tiled showers (no tub).<br /><br />Bath soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided.<br /><br />Linens, including bedding, bath towels, and 4 beach towels, are provided.<br /><br />The home features stone floors on the first floor and carpet upstairs.<br /><br />Free parking for one vehicle.<br /><br />Just steps from the ocean, the pool is an ideal spot to relax and view Molokai and Lanai, all while listening to the sounds of the ocean waves.<br /><br />Near the pool area, there is a BBQ area offering incredible and unobstructed views of Lanai and Molokai.<br /><br />The unit is next to a beach park and within walking distance to markets, restaurants, a coffee shop, bakery, and a weekly farmer’s market. <br /><br />While there’s NO AIR CONDITIONING, fans in every room and the cooling trade winds keep the space comfortable. However, everyone's temperature tolerance is different. I cannot guarantee that you will not feel the weather too warm.<br /><br />Located next to the on-site property office, a coin/credit card-operated laundry is available on site for owners and guests. <br /><br />The living room features a smart TV and a DVD player.<br /><br />Free Wi-Fi.<br /><br />A beach park is just nearby, and across the street, you’ll find markets, restaurants, a coffee shop, gift shops, a bakery, and a weekly farmers market.<br /><br />This second-floor unit offers amazing views but isn’t handicap accessible, as there are no elevators. Inside, the master bedroom is on the main floor. Stairs lead up to the second floor, loft-style bedroom, (as mentioned above--UNSUITABLE FOR INFANTS, CHILDREN OR THE ELDERLY.<br /><br />The kitchen has granite countertops and is equipped with a large refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, and microwave.<br /><br />The fully stocked kitchen comes with all the essentials—drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, dishes, silverware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery and more.<br /><br />Credit card/coin-operated, on-site laundry room is available for owners and their guests/tenants.<br /><br />FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: <br /><br />1. Does the unit have AC? Will it be hot during your stay?<br /><br />There’s NO AIR CONDITIONING, but the louvered windows and doors let in refreshing sea breezes. Ceiling and portable fans are available throughout the unit to help keep things cool. When you arrive, the unit might feel warm since the windows will have been closed, but just open them, switch on the fans, and it should cool down quickly. In my experience, the heat has never been uncomfortable in any season. Still, temperature comfort levels vary from person to person, so we can’t guarantee you won’t feel warm at times.<br /><br />2. We don’t supply coffee, spices, cooking oils, food, or similar items due to liability concerns. Sometimes, past guests may leave basics like food, salt, pepper, cooking oils, or spices. Please use them at your own discretion and risk. If you need anything, Times Market, Napili Market, Safeway, and ABC Store are all conveniently located nearby.<br /><br />3. Do you provide beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, pool floats, etc.?<br /> <br />We don’t provide these items due to liability concerns, but sometimes past guests leave behind items they’ve purchased in the unit. You also might find some beach gear in the laundry room. You’re welcome to use them—just make sure to return anything you borrow when you’re done. Any beach gear from the unit or laundry room can be used at your own risk. Nearby, there are plenty of places where you can buy or rent these items at reasonable daily or weekly rates.<br /><br />4. Early check-in or late check-out possible?<br /><br />Early check-in or late check-out sometimes might be possible if no other guests are arriving or leaving on the same or next day. Early check-in time has a $100 fee. Late check-out time is charged at the current nightly rate.<br /><br />Please don’t arrive early or leave late without making prior arrangements, as housekeeping and maintenance work on tight schedules. They arrive at 11:00 a.m. on your check-out day and usually need the full time until 3:00 p.m. to prepare for the next guests.<br /><br />5. We don’t provide pack ’n plays, rollaway beds, cots for children or adults or cribs for babies, or baby gear. Maui Baby Rentals, about a mile away (if still in business), might be able to assist, or you could try searching online. Just remember space in Maui is limited, so there may not be room for extra furniture of any kind.<br /><br />6. The washer and dryer aren’t in the unit, but there is a shared credit card and coin-operated laundry facility on site for owners, guests, and tenants. If you’re paying with coins, be sure to grab some quarters while you’re out shopping, and don’t forget to pick up laundry detergent and fabric softener, etc.<br /><br />7. For dining and activities, it’s best to search online, as businesses often go out of business, but new ones emerge. While waiting for your luggage at the airport luggage carousel, you’ll find nearby kiosks stocked with free brochures highlighting restaurants, shopping, and 101 things to do.<br /><br />Explore Maui at your own pace or browse the internet, as much has changed since the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent Lahaina fires. Some places have closed, and new ones have popped up. Even after vacationing here for over 25 years and now living here, I still come across new spots and experiences!<br /><br />Some great snorkeling spots nearby include Old Airport Beach, Kahekili Park, Black Rock, and Honolua. Best spot is just steps from your unit. Be sure to check online for the latest information for all acitiviites. <br /><br />Whale watching cruises are also popular. During whale season, you can often spot right from your lanai plenty of turtle and whale activity. <br /><br />For restaurants, coffee, or a quick bite, try Duke's Beach House, Maui Brewing Co., Bad Ass Coffee Shop, Java Jazz, Fish Market Maui, Honokowai Okazuya, or Java Jazz & Soup Nutz, to name a few. As always, it’s a good idea to search online to confirm they’re still in operation.<br /> <br />8. Do you offer discounts for extended stays?<br /><br />Our property is primarily designed for short-term vacation rentals, but we’re happy to accommodate longer stays. The nightly rate is already competitively priced; however, we’re open to discussing discounts. <br /><br />9. Do you offer discounts for military/police/fire fighter families?<br /><br />No<br /><br />10. Are linens provided? Yes! You'll receive bed linens, bath towels, and four beach towels.<br /><br />11. Is the unit handicap accessible? No, it isn’t. The unit is on the second floor, offering amazing, unobstructed ocean views, but requires guests to use the stairs as there is no elevator. <br /><br />Inside the unit, the second bedroom is a loft-style space, which also involves going upstairs. Due to its design, caution is needed (again, keep in mind--it is not suitable for infants, young children, or the elderly).<br /><br />12. Can I smoke by the pool? <br /><br />NO. The unit and entire property, which includes the pool area, BBQ area, laundry room area (all common areas) are completely smoke-free. There is a designated smoking area behind the on-site rental office.<br /><br />Please note: THE ON-SITE RENTAL OFFICE WILL NOT HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING. WE SELF-MANAGE OUR UNITS.<br /><br />13. Will the unit be cleaned during my stay?<br /><br />No. This isn’t included. If you’d like your unit cleaned during your stay, it can be arranged for an additional fee. Should the electronic door lock fail, a back-up key is located in the lockbox directly above the electronic lockbox.<br /><br />There is a communal, on-site credit card/coin-operated washers/dryers. Pool, BBQ area, and one free parking spot for one vehicle.
