Sugar Beach Resort is centrally located for easy access to the sights and experiences Maui has to offer. It is located on a beautiful, walkable, sandy beach with gentle waves for swimming, snorkeling, standup paddle boarding, and kayaking. During certain times boogie boarding is popular, as is wind surfing. Sugar Beach Resort is stepped in profile, so some condos have a large view blocking wall. My condo is the closest one can be to the ocean with unobstructed views. You will enjoy yourselves!<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Our beautiful Maui oceanfront apartment was designed by an architect to reflect the plantation style of the region. The one bedroom unit is located on Sugar Beach, the longest stretch of sandy beach on the island. The kitchen is completely furnished and the bathroom is fully tiled and supplied for our guests. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment, too. The lanai is on the 4th floor with calming vistas. Search Youtube for the "Live Aloha Suite" video for sights and sounds of condominium.<br /><br />The apartment is in Sugar Beach Resort, which is a couple of miles north of Kihei Town. Kihei offers restaurants, shops and all of the activities expected of Maui. The Resort has a sandwich shop if you would rather stay and relax.<br /><br />Sugar Beach Resort is a "green" minded association of home owners who have roof top solar arrays to provide electrical power, solar thermal to heat the swimming pool and spa, and a well to provide gray water for the lush landscape. A car is not needed while staying at the apartment, although there is plenty of parking. Public transportation in front of the resort will bring you to Kihei, Wailea, Lahaina, Kahului and other island towns and destinations. There is no need to go anywhere for activities.
