Its location in the building resides high above ground level and room for 6 guests. Mana Kai sits uniquely right on the border of South Kihei and Wailea. <br /><br />Fortunately, this area called “South Maui” was unaffected by any wildfire activity. Maui welcomes visitors and by coming to the island you play a crucial part in aiding Maui's local businesses, families and economy in this important rebuilding time.<br /><br />Mana Kai 608: Mana Kai sits on the most ideal location on Maui, Keawakapu beach. This highly sought after beach is pronounced “key-ah-vah-kah-pooh”. This area is the sunniest spot on Maui and you will enjoy direct access to both Wailea and Kihei, and 5 minutes to beautiful Makena and Makena Landing! Enjoy an easy 15 minute ride from airport which is nice after a long flight. The acclaimed restaurant group Merriman's is hard at work building out their brand new farm to table oceanfront restaurant right here at Mana Kai! Scheduled to open in late 2026, the new restaurant will be called “The Beach House”. You may be familiar with the Merriman restaurant group. This locally based group also owns Monkeypod, Merriman's at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua and The Beach House on Kauai among others. Not to worry however, there is no shortage of nearby locally owned restaurants while the new restaurant is being built out! Mana Kai is situated within a 2-minute uber ride, drive, bike or even walk to dozens of restaurants right there in Kihei and Wailea. <br /><br />Mana Kai 608 is located on the 6th floor which is the 2nd to highest building level, not in a condo situated immediately over restaurant. We have discounted the rates for the inconvenience of our guests not being able to access the restaurant and any potential noise. It's a great time to take advantage of the reduced rates! Please note that the gym, business center and/or yoga studio may be closed periodically during the restaurant renovation due to their proximity to the restaurant space. We have put systems in place to keep our guests as safe as possible. The safety and well-being of our guests at Mana Kai 608 is very important to us!<br /><br />Enhanced disinfecting procedures for Mana Kai 608 are in place. We have our own professional cleaning team hired by us the owners and Tracy, our privately contracted Maui Property Manager to take care of our Mana Kai 608 guests. For no additional charge, this two-tier cleaning, disinfecting and air out process will be done after each guest leaves.<br /><br />OK, now back to the fun stuff.... <br /><br />Mana Kai is a legal vacation rental and the perfect Maui location because it's on the ocean smack dab in-between Kihei and Wailea. Why is this nice? You get the best beaches Maui has to offer and the best of what Kihei and Wailea have to offer. You will be super close to dozens of restaurants, the Wailea shops, The Wailea Tennis Club (which is fantastic and super low key), and many golf courses. You are in great hands with Tracy!<br /><br />Ok, back to the condo itself! During your stay in Mana Kai 608, you will be cooled by ocean breezes and commanding sunset and ocean views. It features a large and private lanai (balcony) with the sound of the waves every single night in your ocean view bedroom. It also includes 3 ceiling fans and 2 new A/C units to keep you comfortable and cool while in Maui.<br /><br />Mana Kai 608 is 2BR/2BA condo with full kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. There are Shoji screens between the master bedroom and living room (versus a stationary wall) that were created and installed by the original designers of Mana Kai to allow you to customize your privacy needs while not impacting the absolutely incredible views! The master bedroom has a high quality king size mattress and the guest bedroom has a queen size high quality mattress. The sofa sleeper has a queen size memory foam mattress that measures 59” x 71”. We also provide memory foam pillows to guests as an option for the ultimate sleep comfort. Guests will drift off to sleep with the sound of the ocean waves and fresh breeze. Ahhh.. sleep is calling.<br /><br />Mana Kai Unit 608 has a large private lanai, plus AMAAAAAZING ocean views. it is located in the coveted center of the building among the highest view floors. Direct beach access as well as a heated, private, oceanfront, salt water pool which is a rarity in Maui. The pool is a great option for taking a refreshing dip while enjoying views and sounds of the ocean. There is also a private, beautiful grassy area with lounge chairs and a shower to rinse off before heading back up to condo. <br /><br />Spend relaxing days soaking up the Maui sunshine as well as action packed days at the beach as you swim, lounge, boogie board, surf, fish, paddle board, scuba dive, kayak, beachcomb, yoga, walk/run along the beach, whale watch, boat, and/or snorkel. We provide beach gear including 4 beach chairs, umbrella, metal hydroflasks with screw tops (PERFECT to keep drinks cold all day in the sun), (cute and colorful) beach towels, metal wine tumblers, 2 hard coolers (one that rolls), sand toys, beach bags and even a beach wagon! We often also have a waterproof fannypack and often a football or 2 in the beach gear closet for guests. For hygiene reasons, we don’t provide shared snorkel equipment — Rafael, our activity partner, can arrange guided snorkel tours for you. Additionally, we have a locally owned, rental facility right on site at the resort called Mana Kai Paddle and Kayak that offers snorkel equipment to rent.<br /><br />We happily stock AMPLE laundry detergent pods, dish soap, garbage bags, qtips, cotton swabs, dishwasher pods, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee, coffee filters, salt/pepper and olive oil. In addition, we provide "starter kit" supplies in each bathroom and the main kitchen. Upon arrival, you will find 6 fresh rolls of toilet paper (3 per bathroom) and 1 fresh roll of paper towels for the kitchen. This will be enough to get you "started". Our goal by providing "starter kits" for household paper products is to prevent the necessity for you to have to shop for these items during your first couple of days in paradise; after all, you are on vacation. <br /><br />We also provide useful items for your convenience like an iron and ironing board, hairdryers, a powerful Vitamix blender, metal hydroflasks, 2 hard coolers, coozies, toaster, drip coffee maker, a variety of cooking pans and big bowls, coffee grinder, grilling tools, outdoor dishware (including a pitcher) for pool or beach, sturdy snap top tupperware and tons of other kitchen supplies! There are USB charging ports are in every room for convenient charging of both A or C types, binoculars, a variety of Maui guide and history books, board and card games, a variety of beach toys and beach supplies, even a beach wagon! A Bluetooth speaker is in the living room so you can play your favorite music. The list goes on and on, be sure to check it all out! :)<br /><br />Please note that the number of guests is a maximum total of 6 which also includes infants. Mana Kai is a smoke free building.<br /><br />Maui County will be phasing out some of their South Maui short-term rentals on January 1, 2031; however, this condo is zoned “Resort” and not on the list of phase out properties. This particular condo complex will not be affected. In other words, this vacation rental is not in a complex that is in danger of phasing out in 2031. During the build out phase, there will be no on site restaurant, however, there are an abundance of restaurants minutes away in Wailea and Kihei!<br /><br />*** While the restaurant is under construction and/or if any other individually owned condos at the resort happen to be having renovations, we have already discounted our rates to compensate for any potential noise and/or inconvenience.
