While the on-site restaurant is currently under construction, the General Store (808 Deli) remains open throughout the renovation. The highly anticipated Merriman’s Beach House is expected to open in 2026. Water toy rentals and a sunglass shop are also on-site, and you’ll find over 100 restaurants within 2 miles, including beautiful waterfront dining just a short walk along the beach.<br />Enjoy a designated parking space, complimentary Wi-Fi, and fitness center, yoga classes at additional cost), gas BBQ grills, and more. In fall 2022, owners were informed the Five Palms restaurant would close after 30 years. Reconstruction is underway, with completion expected in late 2026. I appreciate your understanding during this time and will continue to provide updates. The gym and 808 Deli remain open, and a top-tier new restaurant is on the way. I’ve reduced rates up to 20% to reflect this transition, and in the past three years, guests have not experienced issues related to prior construction.<br /><br />Thank you for your support—I look forward to hosting you.<br /><br />Craig Zager<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Electronic door codes will be sent to guests on the day of check-in due to commonly having back-to-back bookings. In addition, I will provide a full detail of options in and around the property. There is a premium designated parking spot very close to the main entrance. In addition, there is a general parking lot in front of the building for all to park when visiting the Mana Kai. None of the 97 units at the Mana Kai have in-property washers and dryers. Before your arrival in Maui, we want to share some updates regarding our new restaurant project, as well as some needed building maintenance planned at Mana Kai.<br />Restaurant Remodel: Construction of our new restaurant, The Beach House at Mana<br />Kai is set to begin the year-end-2027. Handcrafted Restaurants (a Peter Merriman-owned<br />company) Recently received its building permit from Maui County, and we’re excited to<br />see this project take shape. While the restaurant won’t be open during your visit, its<br />completion will significantly enhance the dining options for future stays. We look forward<br />to offering this incredible amenity to our guests soon.<br />Building Maintenance & Repairs: Mana Kai recently assessed the need for some concrete repairs near the ground-floor restrooms and lobby area, as part of ongoing post-tension cable maintenance.<br />What to Expect During Your Stay: Based on a similar project completed last year toward the ocean end of the building, we recognize that there will be construction noise, particularly in the lobby area. However, any work will be restricted to weekdays<br />between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with no construction activity on weekends or holidays.<br />The lobby bathrooms will, unfortunately, be out of service during construction.
