Welcome to our comfy 1-bedroom condo located in the heart of South Kihei. Perfect for a couple. Our unit is located at the back of the Kihei Kai Nani Resort, away from all the street noise. Our unit is on the 3rd floor. There are no elevators, but the steps to the condo is worth the exercise to relax on the lanai. Our condo is equipped with just about everything you need for your stay. The fabulous Kamaole Beach Park II is located directly across the street from the complex - few minutes' walk<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Our unit is perfect for a couple. It is a one-bedroom condo on the third floor (no elevator).<br /><br />There is king size bed in the bedroom and a queen size sofa bed in the living room.<br /><br />The property has a large community pool. There are also gas BBQ's located throughout the complex for your use. <br /><br />There are beach chairs, beach umbrellas, cooler, ice packs and boogie boards in our unit that you are welcome to use. We just ask that you shake off sand and /or rinse off any saltwater before returning to our unit. There is a freshwater rinse area in the front driveway area (next to the guard shack) just as you enter the complex from the street.<br /><br />Our unit does have air conditioners. Since Kihei Kai Nani is an older resort, there is not a central air conditioning system for the unit. Instead, there is window mounted unit in the living room and a portable unit in the bedroom. <br /><br />Our unit has a compact washer / dryer for your smaller loads. There is also a coin operated washer / dryer located near the pool for your larger loads of laundry. <br /><br />Great restaurants, bars and shopping areas are all within walking distance of our unit.<br /><br />There is cable/SMART TV in the living room and SMART TV in the bedroom. <br /><br />The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, utensils, dishes, coffee maker, toaster, etc.<br /><br />A cleaning fee of $150 is charged per stay. There is no cleaning during your stay. A starter supply of toilet paper & paper towel is provided. If staying more than a few days, you may want to add these items to your shopping list. Liquid body wash/shampoo is supplied. <br /><br />We ask that you treat our home as if you were staying at a family or friend's home.<br /><br />No pets are allowed.<br /><br />Minimum age requirement for rental is 25.<br /><br />There is no telephone in our unit. <br /><br />Local Transient Accommodations Taxes and the General Excise Tax which is 17.50% is added to your total when booking (you will see added in when booking).<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />When checking in after business hours, please go directly to our unit. Please check in the front office the next morning. <br />A code will be provided to access the electronic door lock. A key lock box is also located at the entrance screen door (in case the electronic door lock does not work).<br />If a security guard is stationed at the front entrance, just let them know which unit number you are staying in.<br />A community pool is available for your use during your stay. Only guest staying at KKN are allowed to use the pool. A gate with a code is needed to access.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Our unit is located on the third floor. There are no elevators.<br /><br />Since our unit is on the top floor, it may be very warm upon your arrival due to the windows/glass slider/curtains being closed since our last guest. Many times, by opening up the front door (close the screen door), opening the living room glass slider (close the screen slider) and opening the windows -the trade winds will help in cooling the unit down. If there are no trade winds, turning the living room A/C and bedroom A/C on, with the front door, living room glass slider and windows closed, will cool the place down. The A/C units will take several minutes before it actually starts putting out cold air. Closing all the windows, bedroom & bathroom doors (with the A/C on) will cool each area faster.<br />Keeping the screen doors closed will help in preventing flies, insects, rodents and even birds from entering the unit.<br />The bedroom A/C unit is a newer model. It is one of the quieter models on the market. It may still be considered noisy to some, and the noise may make it difficult to sleep. If quiet is what you need for a peaceful night sleep, we suggest you turn on the bedroom A/C (with the windows & door closed) ahead of your bed schedule to cool the room down. As you are ready to go to bed, turn on the living room A/C and then turn off the bedroom A/C. With all the windows / glass slider closed and the living room A/C on, the air will flow into the bedroom to help keep you cool. Turning the ceiling fan on low will also help the cool air from the living to the bedroom. The alternate is using ear plugs while the A/C is on (provided).<br /><br />Beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas and cooler (ice packs in freezer) are available for your use. Boogie boards and some sand toys are also available. There is a freshwater shower at the front entrance of the Kihei Kai Nani complex. Please rinse yourself and any items that may have sand or saltwater on them before returning to the unit.<br /><br />Please dispose of garbage and tidy up upon your departure. Please wash all pots and pans used. Dishes may be loaded in the dishwasher and started upon your departure. No need to remove bed sheets. Place all used towels in the bathroom. The cleaning fee you are paying includes laundering linens, cleaning of bathroom & kitchen, floors and overall general cleaning.
