One of only two unique penthouses in the building, it has 2 feet higher ceilings and 4 extra windows. You can see Haleakala from both bedrooms and both showers. Nobody walks past our door and the second bedroom window! Split AC system with an AC in every room.

The space
OUR CONDO – INSPIRATION
We fell in love with this condo at the first sight. It’s a corner penthouse with Haleakala on one side looking into its 4 extra windows. Being this high with 270 degree views, we called this condo “Eagle Nest”, because it just felt this way to us. The corner of the railings outside of the front door reminds us of the famous movie scene with Jack and Rose on the bow of Titanic. But please don’t try to reenact that scene!

If you are curious to learn about Menehune, find “menehune hawaiian leprechauns” to read a fun and well-illustrated article.

PLEASE INQUIRE FIRST about your dates, don't send a booking request right away. We have to make sure your dates align with our other bookings. For example, if we have a booking, staring on April 10, and you request to stay April 2-9, it might not work for us. We' might need to get a booking until April 10 or until April 3. leaving us one full week between bookings.

OUR CONDO – DETAILS
This condo is located on the sixth floor of the South side of the building, it’s the corner unit and is the closest to the road. It looks towards the open ocean, the island of Kahoolawe and Molokini crater. It’s in the quieter wing, away from the pool and restaurant. The condo has high ceilings, lots of light and air.

The two bedrooms – Master and Guest - are symmetrically situated. Each has its small entry alcove with doors to the bedroom and the bathroom. Both bedroom closets have custom shelving system and mirrored doors.

Master bedroom has a Cal King bed – a firm Serta mattress with memory foam top. Master bathroom has a shower over a bathtub.

Guest bedroom has two extra-long Twin beds with Nectar mattresses. By default, the two beds are made separately, but they can be connected into one King bed. If you want to have one King bed during your stay in the guest bedroom, let us know after you book, and the housekeeping will prepare it for you: the two beds will be connected by a special bridge so there is no gap, and you would still have two separate twin duvets on the bed. Guest bathroom has a shower with a low curb, no bathtub.

In the living room, we have a new Queen sofa sleeper with a foam mattress. Clean bedding and linens for it will be prepared in the linen closet near Master bedroom – mattress protector, duvet, sheets (fitted and flat), 4 pillows. You will need to make the bed yourself. Always put everything back to the linen closet when you close the sofa bed – the sheets left inside the mattress can break the mechanism.

We highly recommend that you purchase a travel insurance. It has a shallow swimming area protected from waves - an ancient fish pond. In the deepest areas, the water is from waist to neck deep depending on the tide and your height. There are resident turtles in the pond that can usually be seen in the morning. The beach has white sand, trees and palms for shade. On the other side of this fish pond the ocean bottom is a bit deeper for swimming.

An excellent stroll starts to the left of our building. You can walk along the beaches for 1.5 miles one way.

Humpback whale watching season is December through April.

FOR THE 5th AND 6th GUEST, there is $35 extra fee per person per night. Please enter the correct number of guests to receive the correct quote. If you book for a larger party and someone can't stay, we will adjust and refund the extra fees based on the actual party size.

Hawaii Tax ID: GE-008-739-3792-01 TA-008-739-3792-01

Guest access
The entrance to the property is located at the North end. When you drive into Menehune Shores parking lot, drive to the opposite wing - the South wing. Our elevator is about half-way between the road and the center of the building. Behind the elevator, there is a storage space for a hotel luggage cart and a grocery cart. Use them to take your luggage and groceries to the condo. If the carts are used by others, look for those near the main entrance to the resort (in the North wing). Always return the carts to their storage right after use.

Make sure to register your car with Homeowner Association’s Office, which is located on the ground floor of the main entrance and is open Mon-Fri, 9 am to 2 pm.If you arrive when the office is closed, put a note with UNIT 627 and YOUR DEPARTURE DATE on the dashboard, and come to the office next business day to register your vehicle.

Registration Details
390010850153, TA-008-739-3792-01
