There is a rental company in the lobby called 808 smart cars where you can rent for a day or the duration of your stay. Please note that parking is NOT INCLUDED in your reservation. It is $45 a day(subject to change) You may inquire about rentals and pricing in the lobby if needed. There is also free street parking on surrounding streets available as well. But like any major city it's a first come first serve basis. <br />Waikiki has a great city bike rental program now called Biki Bikes. Look for all the turquoise bikes around town. There is also the local bus, taxi's, Uber and trolleys. <br />**The parking garage is NOT RUN OR OPERATED by The Surf Shack Waikiki and has no affiliation with it.<br />** The building nor the unit allow any types of bikes inside or in elevators<br /><br />ACTIVITIES DESK:<br />There is a great Activity Desk in the upper Lobby. There you can rent Smart Cars, Surfboards, Beach Chairs & Umbrellas etc.<br /><br />PETS:<br />This is a NO PET building, as much as we love our furry friends we will have to decline your reservation due to allergies and health concerns of others as well as the buildings policies. <br />**This unfortunately includes ESA and service animals.<br /><br />SELF CHECK IN/OUT:<br />*check in time is 4pm<br />*check out time is 11am<br />There are lock boxes located in the lower lobby (LL) where you will retrieve your keys/ return upon check out. <br />**Please note there will be a fee for lost keys and room lock outs. <br /><br />VERY LATE CHECK IN:<br />If you are arriving very late the doors to the elevators on the lower lobby (LL) will be locked due to after hours. You can walk up the stairs to the left to lobby level (L) to access the elevators from there. <br /><br />HOUSEKEEPING:<br />There is no daily house keeping service for The Surf Shack as it is a privately owned and operated Airbnb. Your unit will be cleaned before and after your stay. Should you need laundry facilities there is one located inside the building on the fifth floor. It takes credit cards only and you can purchase detergent at the mini mart located in the lobby.<br /><br />SECURITY OFFICE:<br />The security office will store your luggage if needed for a fee of $5 per bag per day. Some people like to do this if they have later flights and still want to explore. <br /><br />THIS IS A NO SMOKING UNIT AND BUILDING:<br /> There are designated "smoking areas" if needed. If there are reports of smoking in the unit you will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given. This also includes marijuana & vaping.<br /><br />WATER SHUT OFF:<br />If the water is ever shut off for some reason, it is because here has been an emergency shut off or it is the scheduled day of the month for plumbing services. The building is legally allowed to turn the water off every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month from 11-3pm. This allows units to be serviced by plumbers if needed. Water will be restored as soon as plumbing work is done and will not exceed past 3pm. All buildings in Waikiki do this one or two days a month because the pipes are very sensitive to sand from the beach. The shut off may not even effect the unit depending on what side they are working on. <br /><br />FUNCTIONS/PARTIES:<br />Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. This is a rental for domestic use and not for any type of event. <br /><br />NOISE:<br />Please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10pm and 8am. There are permanent residents as well in the building. <br /><br />TRASH:<br />There is a trash room on every floor located near the elevators. Please dispose of your trash there upon check out or anytime in between to avoid ants. <br /><br />RESPONSIBILTY DISCLAIMER:<br />- Guest are not allowed to book a reservation for someone else. They must <br />be the one staying in the unit. <br />- Property owner/host is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while guests are on the premises or in unit. <br />- The guest is responsible for safe keeping of personal belongings and <br />valuables during their stay.<br />- Damages, breakages, theft and loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay. <br />- by accepting this reservation , it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use on the premises and unit. <br />- Any items damaged or stolen from the unit during stay will be charged to the renter who booked the reservation.
