











Our cozy and chic 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is an unbeatable location. A 2 minute stroll to downtown & the Mill Valley lumberyard. Sunny patio. Tree canopy, Redwoods & garden views from every room. Built in the 1900s as a summer camp. Upgraded with high-end design, modern amenities, brand new furniture and bedding, our cabin is true to Mill Valley's friendly & historic roots. To access the house, it's a 40 stair climb from the street up to the fully fenced-in sunny patio entrance & front door.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />While there's so much to explore in Mill Valley, once you arrive, don't be surprised if your favorite part of your stay is relaxing with a pour-over coffee on the sofa, reading a good book on the hammock or enjoying an afternoon glass of rose on the patio. Truly, the patio is an exhale and we hope you love it as much as we do. Our home has all of the benefits and connection of being so very close to downtown but with lots of privacy and quiet to unwind.<br /><br />Our home is on Mill Valley's historic SLPs #5 (Steps, Lanes and Paths) so you'll have some stairs to take on when you arrive - 40 stairs to be exact. Most properties in Mill Valley do have stairs given the town's history. Please reach out prior to your arrival if you'd like a hand as we are always happy to help you settle in.<br /><br />Originally built as lodging for a hunting resort used in the early 1900s for city folk to escape the freezing cold San Francisco summers, fast forward to nearly 100+ years later and our cabin is fully equipped with comfy bedding, linens and all of the modern amenities you'd expect from a year-round residence including a fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room with seating for 6, a writing nook, laundry/pantry room, 2 full bathrooms (one with a pedestal foot tub), and 3 bedrooms with super comfy mattresses and linens.<br /><br />Bedroom #1 has a queen size bed, side tables with reading lamps, french doors that open to the patio, and a dedicated bathroom.<br /><br />Bedroom #2 has a king size bed, side tables with reading lamps, french doors that open to the patio and a modest sized walk-in closet.<br /><br />Bedroom #3 has a full size bed, side tables with reading lamps and a modest closet.<br /><br />All bedrooms have a suitcase rack. Beds will be made with fresh bed linens upon arrival.<br /><br />There is one parking spot designated for you. If you need additional parking, there is plenty of on-street parking nearby that is safe and convenient and a short walk away.<br /><br />If you drop a note about the reason for your stay and any special requests, we will do our best to help you find what you need. Whether it's hiking, biking, strolling, shopping, hitting the beach, or eating your way through our many amazing restaurants, we have you covered with recommendations to get the most out of your stay. <br /><br />It's a 2 walk in one direction to downtown and a 2 minute walk in the other to the Mill Valley Lumberyard. <br /><br />Once downtown, you'll find several great bike shops (mountain and road), the beautiful Mill Valley Library and playground with enchanting Redwoods to walk through, the world-famous Dipsea hiking and running trail, and many other hiking and biking trails are accessible on foot from the house a 3 - 5 minute walk away. The Mill Valley Lumberyard, well known for its fabulous Watershed Restaurant, shops like The Edit women's boutique, Aviator Nation, and many more and Downtown Mill Valley with favorite brunch locations like Sunnyside (don't miss their Millionaire Bacon and Hot Stone Pot breakfast) and The Corner Bar for an early (or late) evening cocktail are not to be missed.<br /><br />Our home is located close enough to downtown where you will see a fair amount of foot traffic on the side walks - locals heading to Equator Coffee for their morning espresso or avocado waffles or to meet a friend at the depot to play an outdoor game of checkers or chess in the town square.<br /><br />The Mill Valley Market grocery store, a full-service, family-owned grocer is a 5 minute walk away and has all you need from wine, liquor, prepped snacks and sandwiches, a full deli of meats, seafood and fresh produce. Order ahead at the deli counter for a thanksgiving turkey or prime rib with all the fixings.<br /><br />Mount Tamalpais East Peak is a 12 minute drive, Muir Woods is a 15 minute drive, and Stinson and Muir beach are both 25 minutes by car.
