Combined state, county and transient occupancy taxes of 18.716 apply.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />We've provided all the comforts of home on 'The Garden Island' of Kauai, one of the world's most spectacular settings. This charmingly furnished house with traditional Hawaiiana decor and lanais is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The house is perfect for multiple or extended families and features two deluxe master bedroom suites which include private en suite bathrooms and king beds. A standard master with a California King bed has a private bathroom and the two remaining bedrooms share a bathroom. <br /><br />You will seldom need your car after arriving as both the beach and charming Hanalei Village are within walking distance with its excellent restaurants, lively night spots, and shopping. Only a block and a half away is the world-famous, crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay, ranked by National Geographic Traveler as one of the top ten beaches in the world. This exceptional setting can only be reached over a quaint network of one lane bridges through beautiful taro fields and lush rain forest. <br /><br />Please note: The house does not have air conditioning. Like many homes in Hanalei, this house was designed to take advantage of Kauai’s natural breezes. Screened roof ventilation lets warm air flow upward and out, while ceiling fans in the bedrooms and/or additional portable fans are provided to keep the air moving. Most guests find that the fresh trade winds, combined with the home’s open design, create a true island-living experience. <br /><br />This home is a vacation rental and guests should not expect the same amenities as at a hotel including toiletries, comestibles and other supplies. We start our guests off with some hand soap and toilet paper for their arrival but otherwise it is not practical to offer supplies for the duration of their stay. <br /><br />We are happy to rent for less than a week between gaps of 6 days or less or 30 days in advance of an unrented time. We accept reservations up to 12 months in advance. For stays over 14 nights, an additional mid-stay clean fee of 366.49 (sales tax included) will be charged.<br /><br />By an agreement with our neighborhood association, house is strictly limited to ten guests of any age or size -- infants are not exempted, sorry. <br /><br />The residence is located in a tsunami inundation zone.
