Just a 5 minute walk gets you to Kona Bay beaches, stores, restaurants, entertainment and historical sites along Ali'i Drive.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />AC in living room and bedroom. New carpet in bedroom. All new stainless steel appliances. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook delicious meals at your home away from home, Washer/Dryer, and assigned covered parking. The unit is easily accessible on the first floor with only two steps to enter. There is no need to carry your luggage up stairs to the upper floors. Unfortunately, since there is no crib, the condo is not suited for infants. <br /><br />There is a super comfortable king size bed in the bedroom. The living room has a Murphy bed with a 6" memory foam mattress. Guests staying in the living room have a small closet for clothing storage and blackout curtains to block the morning sun.<br /><br />Kalanikai is a concrete building, providing a cooler and quieter stay. The beautifully maintained grounds are rich with Hawaiian foliage. Spend time sunbathing and relaxing by the saltwater pool. Pick up some fresh, local fish and fire up the shared gas-grill for a delicious cookout. Kalanikai is a perfect base to explore the island of Hawaii. An ideal location for triathletes, Iron Man spectators or participants and Fishing Tournaments. The Kailua-Kona pier is also just a short walk, where you can watch the boats as they leave on their snorkeling, diving and fishing excursions and sunset cruise.<br /><br />Local attractions within walking distance include; Kailua Pier, Kailua Bay, Kona farmers market, ABC store, Kona Brewing Company, Ola Brew, Starbucks, Sack and Save, Safeway and Coconut Grove Marketplace including restaurants, bars and shops along Ali'i Drive.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Entire apartment<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />The state of Hawaii requires that we charge a Transient Accommodation Tax and a General Excise Tax for short term rental stays.
