The Bunkhouse at Harwood Farms is a secure and private home located in the Los Gatos Foothills. At an elevation of only 450 feet, you can enjoy panoramic views of the valley floor from almost anywhere you're standing on this 1 acre gated estate property. This is a wonderful alternative to hotels while you're visiting with family or friends in the Silicon Valley/Greater Bay Area.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />The uniqueness of The Bunkhouse at Harwood Farms is beyond description. Where else can your family find a home-away-from-home that offers so many onsite features and nearby amenities. We are only minutes to major grocery stores, hospitals, shopping malls, 4 miles to downtown Los Gatos, 19 miles to the San Jose International Airport, 1 hour from San Francisco, and so much more.<br /><br />Harwood Farms is an active, working Horse Farm within the town limits of Los Gatos. The Bunkhouse is a traditional single story California ranch style home. It has been home to my family since 1986 and now your family and friends can experience the same. There is room to roam on-property plus a trailhead only a few hundred yards away providing miles of dog-walking, hiking, biking, and running trails. <br /><br />Enjoy your own private heated swimming pool (88 degrees), a heated jacuzzi (102 degrees). Feed carrots to our 8 horses, or visit our pond and feed meal worms to our many varieties of game fish including Bluegill, Sunfish, Catfish and Large Mouth Bass. Barbecue in the backyard or read a book under an old oak-tree. Harwood Farms (on Harwood Road) is an Oasis in the Heart of Los Gatos and the Bunkhouse can now be your go-to home-away-from-home.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Guests will have complete and exclusive access to the entire home when rented as a 4 bedroom. You may be also rent my home as a 3 bedroom at a lessor nightly rate. When renting as the 3 bedroom option, the 4th bedroom is "locked-out".<br /><br />There is ample off-street parking for 8+ cars. Or if you are traveling America by motorhome or travel trailer, we have parking for that also.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Once you are settled in, we can provide you a tour of the Horse portion of Harwood Farms and your kids are welcome to feed the horses carrots, and feed mealworms to the fish in our game-fish pond.
