Wonderful Architect designed home majestically located in a private mountain setting adjacent to National Forest with no other homes in sight. The house is designed to gracefully step up the hillside and is a combination of the Tahoe vernacular and contemporary styles.<br /><br />Just minutes from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, a short walk to the Truckee River, and a short drive to Lake Tahoe and historic Truckee, this property is ideally located for the myriad of outdoor activities available.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />The main living level has a huge great room with a 26 foot high cathedral ceiling, large stone fireplace, contemporary kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 6-burner Thermador range, granite counters, and an awesome view of Sawtooth Ridge. There is a half bath on the living level. There is also a south facing deck with table, chairs and umbrella for summer months.<br /><br />The master bedroom wing has a large bedroom (queen size bed) and bathroom with double sink, soaking tub and shower. There is also a laundry room and small office with desk/chair on this wing. <br /><br />Upstairs are three bedrooms with queen size beds along with a full bathroom.<br /> <br />Enjoy the huge recreation room downstairs, with TV/VCR, sofa, ping-pong table, poker table, full bath, one twin bed and bunk bed alcove (this is also referred to as bedroom #5).<br /><br />The house is 3-stories with stairs and might not be suitable for those who have physical difficulty with stairs.<br /><br />As of July 2022, we have a new internet service provider that does not require a satellite.
