Vreasy is becoming part of FantasticStay

I hope you are well in these turbulent times. While it’s not easy for any of us in the property management business or for the technology providers that power it, I wanted to share the exciting news that we reached an agreement to acquire Vreasy! Martin and team have done a marvellous job creating and successfully managing Vreasy’s product and world-class team for many years and winning many great customers. We couldn’t be happier about the opportunity to work with all of them.

What are the immediate effects from this deal?

  • We will continue running Vreasy.com as is. No immediate impact.
  • As we did previously with the FantasticStay users and customers, we waived ALL software fees for the next 3 months for Vreasy.com, effective April 1st. We understand that we have to deal with an unprecedented crisis affecting our sector and want to ensure that we support Vreasy users, as well as FantasticStay users, and their business with what is in our control as a technology provider.
  • All of the people of Vreasy’s customer-facing team remains the same and they will be joining our team. They will continue to work with our entire user base. Martin and team will be helping us make a smooth transition.
  • All of the people of Vreasy’s technical team will also remain part of the our newly emerged Fantastic team. They will continue to work with our existing teams to help empower our vision of providing the greatest tools for vacation rental managers and hosts.

What’s next?

For some years now we have been building our software on this simple principle – it should be directly instrumental in helping the property managers using it grow their business. It started as an instrument to successfully grow our own vacation rental business and that has always been in its DNA. Going forward, I want to assure you that our mission remains unchanged – as the effective breadth of our combined offering will only expand the considerable assets of FantasticStay. We will simply have more resources to continue building products that delight our customers by bringing great value to them. 

As a final note, I want to thank the entire Vreasy team, the entire FantasticStay team, to Martin, Sibylle and Vassil personally – I’m glad we managed to forge a new bond that hopefully will enrich many people and users around the world.

Lastly, but not least – to every single FantasticStay user and customer. I sincerely wish that you and your families stay healthy and positive. This crisis, like all of the ones before will pass too and I am confident that we will emerge stronger together. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Why is our software free?

Because we want to grow our business. As do you.

For some years now we have been building our software on this simple principle – it should be directly instrumental in helping the property managers using it grow their business. It started as an instrument to successfully grow our own vacation rental business and that has always been in its DNA. And that makes a quite decent strategy because if your users grow, you grow with them.

Making the decision to open our platform and let property managers use all of its main functionalities for free was a hard one and at the same time, it felt so right. That’s when we knew we were on the right path.

So how will FantasticStay make money?

We still have our Premium features that are not included in the free plan. If you take a look at them we are sure you’ll agree that they a) are worth paying for and b) are not crucial for laying the foundations of a successful vacation rental business. We know that because when we started we didn’t use any of these (some of us are also real PMs – with 1,500+ properties) and it took us some time to get to the place where we realized the need for advanced features.

Some of these are:

24/7 Guest Communication Service – for the moment you get tired of dealing with the directions to and from the airport, or where the towels are. We can do it for you and you will be happy to have the time to focus on growing.

API – that’s short for Application Programming Interface – but I guess if you needed the explanation you don’t need the feature. However, once you get to the point where you have your own technical team, they will be very happy to find out that our system connects to anything, with finesse and impressive lack of friction.

Premium Support – your time is better spent finding new locations or managing your people and you don’t want to spend hours on a computer dealing with the setup of new properties or messaging automation? We got that part covered!

Revenue management – we live in the future and everything is dynamic. You can always tweak your prices daily (hourly?) and make sure you are looking at all the events in the area so you don’t miss on the sweet profit of your high season but you are still missing hundreds of factors. We are not missing any of them and we can do that for you without any of the guesswork.

What are the limits of the free plan?

No. Limits.

Use this for any number of properties. FOREVER.

There won’t be any surprise pop-up windows that would ask you to pay, we promise.

 

What is included in the free plan?

A full-blown PMS and Channel Manager. Yep.

MultiCalendar – one dashboard for all reservations on all channels. Customization of tags, groups, maximum occupancy, filter by tag or building. You can even find availability across all properties in a second. We are using the same to manage our portfolio with all the optimizations that our experience and your feedback provide.

Channel Manager – Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway-  these are direct connections and we are official partners. No charge for this.

Unified Inbox – all your communication history from Airbnb and other channels, emails, SMS and even your own website. Tagged, organized and with multi-user capabilities where you can see who sent each message and when.

Automations – scale your operations by automating repetitive tasks – payments, messages, reviews, inquiries with all the triggers and filters you can think of.

And, yes, we also have Owner portal, Reporting, Website builder and the rest of the features you are already accustomed to being billed for.

There’s one thing here that you can say is not free: if you use our Payment processing, you need to pay a 0,80% fee. Definitely not trying to hide that, yet, it’s a sweet deal compared to the rest of them.

 

Taking a step back we realize there’s no excuse for not doing this earlier – the intersection of our clients’ and our best interests is growth. So let’s do it together!
